Overview

Adyen is a payment gateway you probably haven't heard of. However, they are used by global giants Uber, Netflix & Spotify and offer low card transaction rates around much of the world. The Adyen process isn't as simple as with Stripe, so if you are covered by Stripe in your region and want the quick and easy route we'd recommend that. Otherwise read on to find out how Adyen work and how to integrate Adyen with Habu.

Adyen Coverage

Adyen - direct

Adyen facilitate direct card payments in Europe, USA, Brazil, Australia, and Singapore. Hong Kong and Canada are in the pipeline for early 2018.

Adyen - Partnerships

In addition to this, Adyen have partnerships that cover all of Asia (other that China Domestic), Israel, the UAE, Egypt & South Africa. The rest of the Middle East is scheduled for coverage in 2018.

Signing up for Adyen

If you country is covered by Adyen directly, this is the process:

Step 1: Sign up for an Adyen account.
Contact them here to create your account.

Step 2: Contact us.
The Habu integration with Adyen is private so once your account has been created, you need to contact us. There are a couple of stages here. We will ask you for certain information from your account. When we have that, we will then send you a code to add to your account.

After that, the integration will be complete and you're good to go with accepting card payments.

If your country is covered by an Adyen partnership, this is the process:

Step 1: Contact us.
We will then introduce you to Adyen who will connect you with their regional partner (technically referred to as '3rd Party Acquirer').

Step 2: Set up Adyen and partner accounts.
Once connected with the partner bank, you'll need to create an account with them as well as an account with Adyen.

Step 3: Contact us.
